Hotel staff very pleasant and helpful: we had booked a triple room, and they made a mistake, but directly gave us 2 rooms. We also got some bikes for a ride.

The room and the balcony were acceptable.
The staff were unfriendly, cold and unhelpful. They didn't speak any English and didn't make any effort to point out local sites and places to visit.Bike rentals were advertised but there weren't any available either. The food was awful and expensive.

It is hard to know where to begin. This is an impeccable inn and restaurant. Everything about it is absolutely perfect. It is nestled in the heart of the Black Forest. The exterior grounds of the hotel are groomed nicely and there are great views everywhere one looks. Inside the hotel is furnished in such a way that it encourages one to sit and read or simply enjoy the relaxing ambience. The rooms are lovingly furnished and are quite spacious with balconies. The staff is excellent. A fabulous chef prepares very, very good food. We stayed only one night and we wish our trip had allowed for at least 3 nights here.

Very clean. Owners friendly & helpful. Everything worked - tv, internet connection, shower etc. Lovely balcony. Good breakfast.
Some of the older en-suites could do with modernising. No air conditioning.

Beautiful scenery, Great breakfast, Friendly Staff. Despite the beautiful scenery and great breakfast, my experience at this hotel was not satisfactory. The location was too isolated, making it hard to access nearby attractions. the rooms were not up to standard, with outdated furnishings and uncomfortable bedding.

The location of the hotel was great, surrounded by beautiful scenery and with easy access to walks in the forest. the self-service breakfast was abundant and very tasty, with a variety of options including fresh fruit and bread. the bed in the room was comfortable and clean.
Our experience during Xmas was disappointing. the decorations were minimal and lacked the festive spirit, which made the atmosphere quite dull.
